Located at 110 E Galena Blvd, Aurora, IL 60505, La Central operates as an asian bakery serving Aurora in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 5 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach La Central at (630) 897-2741; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 212 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded asian bakeries in Aurora.
Aurora is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Aurora follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I stopped by La Central during a bike ride after grabbing tacos from Taqueria Durango because I was craving a sugar donut. When I pulled up, I thought they were closing since Cristina was sweeping the front. I asked, “¿Está cerrado?” She smiled and said, “No, nomás estoy limpiando.” Cristina was in a wheelchair sweeping the bakery, so I told her, “¡Qué bueno! Todavía tengo tiempo. Déjeme estacionar mi bici y yo le ayudo.” We chatted while I swept the bakery from front to back. When we finished, she insisted I try some cake and told me to pick out whatever treats I wanted. It was such an unexpected act of kindness that turned a quick bakery stop into one of my favorite moments of the day. The pan dulce was fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. THEY EVEN HAVE TAMALES! 🫔 The bakery has that classic neighborhood feel where you’re treated like family, not just a customer. One of my goals this summer is to work for bread and share it with people. Thanks to Cristina’s kindness, I got to do exactly that. I spent the rest of my bike ride around Aurora sharing the treats I had worked for. Thank you, Cristina, for your generosity and hospitality. La Central is more than a baker

I placed an order for a cake and was very upset I asked for a ROUND tres leches with strawberries and a unique design and got the opposite. I didn’t need the cake until Saturday and instead of calling me during the week to let me know they couldn’t make it how I wanted it they made it how they wanted it and waited till I picked up the cake to let me know. When I got there I got a big surprise what was more upsetting is I had paid the day I placed the order and all they could say is it still looks nice and it’s bigger than the one you paid for. My issue wasn’t the money I could have paid for a bigger cake I just wanted it a certain way the worst part was I wasn’t offered a refund or nothing.

We’ve stopped here several times while on a walk to pick up a few baked goods. The Mexican sweet breads are really good, as are the donuts and cinnamon rolls. One of the women behind the counter also let us know they do tamales as well. We’ve had those a few times and they are very tasty and cheap.
